✧ The first one who gave the khutbah then prayed
5683 5645 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ مِثْلَهُ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ.

أَوَّلُ مَنْ بَدَأَ بِالْخُطْبَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ لَمَّا رَأَى النَّاسَ يَنْقُصُونَ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى حَبَسَهُمْ فِي الْخُطْبَةِ
Translation
✧ The first one to begin with the khutbah before the prayer on the day of Fitr was Uthman b. Affan, when he saw the people leaving, so when he prayed he detained them with the khutbah.
