✧ The first one who gave the khutbah then prayed

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ قَالَ:
أَوَّلُ مَنْ بَدَأَ بِالْخُطْبَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، لَمَّا رَأَى النَّاسَ يَنْقُصُونَ، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى حَبَسَهُمْ فِي الْخُطْبَةِ
Translation
✧ The first one to begin with the khutbah before the prayer on the day of Fitr was Umar b. al-Khattab, when he saw the people leaving, so when he prayed he detained them with the khutbah.
