Translation

✧ I said to 'Ata': Has it reached you that silence is not obligatory during battle? He said: Yes, by my life, it is obligatory. Then he recited: "When you meet those who disbelieve advancing in battle, do not turn your backs to them."—and remember Allah. He said: So remembrance became obligatory on that day. He said: "And there is no talking on that day except remembrance." I said: Do you say the remembrance out loud? He said: "Yes."
