أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ:
بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ ابْنَ رَوَاحَةَ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ بِالطَّرِيقِ يَقُولُ: " اجْلِسُوا " فَجَلَسَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، فَمَرَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ: " مَا شَأْنُكَ ؟ " قَالَ: سَمِعْتُكَ تَقُولُ: " اجْلِسُوا " فَجَلَسْتُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " زَادَكَ اللهُ طَاعَةً
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Maʿmar informed us, from Ayyūb, he said:
✧ It reached me that Ibn Rawaha heard the Prophet ﷺ while he was on the road saying, "Sit down," so he sat down in the road. The Prophet ﷺ passed by him and said to him, "What is the matter with you?" He said, "I heard you say, 'Sit down,' so I sat down." The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "May God increase you in obedience."
