✧ People Sitting When the Imam Comes Out

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:
النَّاسُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ ثَلَاثٌ: رَجُلٌ شَهِدَهَا بِسُكُونٍ، وَوَقَارٍ، وَإِنْصَاتٍ، وَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ الْجُمُعَتَيْنِ " قَالَ: حَسِبْتُ قَالَ: " وَزِيَادَةٌ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ " قَالَ: وَشَاهِدٌ شَهِدَهَا بِلَغْوٍ فَذَلِكَ حَظُّهُ مِنْهَا، وَرَجُلٌ صَلَّى بَعْدَ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ فَلَيْسَتْ بِسُنَّةٍ، إِنْ شَاءَ أَعْطَاهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ مَنَعَهُ
Translation
✧ The people on Friday are of three types: a man who attends it with calmness, dignity, and silence—that is the one forgiven between the two Fridays. He said: I think he said: And an additional three days. He said: And a witness who attends it with idle talk—that is his share from it. And a man who prays after the imam comes out—that is not sunnah; if He wills, He gives him, and if He wills, He withholds from him.
