✧ People Sitting When the Imam Comes Out

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
لَا بَأْسَ بِالْكَلَامِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْإِمَامُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ يُؤَذِّنُ "، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ: " يُسْتَحَبُّ السُّكُوتُ
Translation
✧ There is no harm in speech on Friday while the imam is on the pulpit and the muezzin is calling the adhān. Maʿmar said: Someone who heard al-Ḥasan informed me that he said: Silence is recommended.
