✧ People Sitting When the Imam Comes Out

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
إِذَا خَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي، فَلَا تَجْلِسْ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ الْإِمَامُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَخَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي قَائِمًا، فَهَلْ يَضُرُّنِي أَنْ لَا أَجْلِسَ مَا كَانَ يَمْشِي إِذَا لَمْ يَجْلِسْ وَأَنَا قَائِمٌ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "
Translation
✧ When the imam comes out on Friday and you are praying, do not sit until the imam sits. He said: I said: What if the imam comes out while I am praying standing; does it harm me not to sit as long as he is walking, if he has not sat and I am standing? He said: No.
