عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ:
جَاءَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَلَكٌ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يُخَيِّرُكَ بَيْنَ أَنْ تَكُونَ نَبِيًّا عَبْدًا، أَوْ نَبِيًّا مَلِكًا، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى جِبْرِيلَ كَالْمُسْتَشِيرِ لَهُ، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ تَوَاضَعْ، فَقَالَ: " بَلْ نَبِيٌّ عَبْدٌ " فَمَا رُئِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَكَلَ مُتَّكِئًا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ "، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: فَلَمْ يَأْتِهِ الْمَلَكُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ وَلَا بَعْدُ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, who said:
✧ An angel came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Your Lord gives you the choice between being a prophet-servant or a prophet-king. He looked at Jibril as if consulting him, and he gestured to him to be humble. So he said: "Rather, a prophet-servant." After that, the Prophet ﷺ was never seen eating reclining. Al-Zuhri said: The angel had not come to him before that, nor after.
