عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ حُذَيْفَةَ: أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
خَلَوْتُ يَوْمًا وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَجْتَهِدَ فِي الثَّنَاءِ عَلَى رَبِّي وَالدُّعَاءِ فَأُرْتِجْتُ، فَسَمِعْتُ قَائِلًا يَقُولُ وَلَا أَرَى أَحَدًا: قُلِ: " اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ، وَلَكَ الْمُلْكُ كُلُّهُ، وَبِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ، وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ الْأَمْرُ كُلُّهُ عَلَانِيَتُهُ وَسِرُّهُ، أَهْلٌ أَنْ تُحْمَدَ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي جَمِيعَ مَا سَلَفَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي، وَاعْصِمْنِي فِيمَا بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمُرِي، وَارْزُقْنِي أَعْمَالًا زَاكِيَةً تَرْضَى بِهَا عَنِّي " قَالَ: فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: ذَلِكَ مَلَكٌ عَلَّمَكَ الثَّنَاءَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ وَالدُّعَاءَ
Translation
✧ One day I was alone, wanting to strive in praising my Lord and supplicating, but I was at a loss for words. Then I heard a speaker saying, though I saw no one: “Say: O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs all praise, to You belongs all dominion, in Your hand is all good, and to You returns the whole affair, its open and its secret. You are worthy to be praised; indeed, You have power over all things. O Allah, forgive me all my past sins, protect me for the rest of my life, and grant me pure deeds with which You are pleased with me.” He said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said: “That was an angel teaching you how to praise your Lord and supplicate.”
