عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ:
كَتَبَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ ابْنَةُ غَيْلَانَ وَهِيَ ابْنَةُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْمُهَلَّبِ إِلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: هَلْ تُصَلِّي الْمَرْأَةُ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهَا قِلَادَةٌ ؟ قَالَ: فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهَا: لَا تُصَلِّي الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَّا وَفِي عُنُقِهَا قِلَادَةٌ قَالَ: " وَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدْ إِلَّا سَيْرًا
Translation
✧ Umm al-Fadl bt. Ghaylan, who is the daughter of Yazid b. al-Muhallab, wrote to Anas b. Malik: 'May a woman pray without a necklace on her neck?' He said: He wrote back to her: 'A woman should not pray except with a necklace on her neck.' He said: 'Even if she finds only a strap.'
