✧ Whoever abandons the prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ:
بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى ثَمَانِيَةِ أَسْهُمٍ: شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ، وَصَوْمِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ، وَالْجِهَادِ، وَالْأَمْرِ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ لَا سَهْمَ لَهُ
Translation
✧ Islam is built upon eight portions: the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the prayer, giving the zakāh, the pilgrimage to the House, fasting the month of Ramaḍān, jihād, and enjoining good and forbidding evil. And whoever has no portion has failed.
