عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:
اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى مُضَرَ بِالسَّنَةِ فَجَاءَهُ مُضَرِيٌّ فَقَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، وَاللهِ مَا يَخْطِرُ لَنَا جَمَلٌ، وَلَا يَتَزَوَّدُ لَنَا رَاعٍ، فَأَعَادَ فِي قَوْلَهُ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ مَكَثَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ، ثُمَّ دَعَا الْمُضَرِيَّ فَقَالَ: قُلْتَ مَاذَا ؟ فَأَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " اللَّهُمَّ دَعَوْتُكَ فَاسْتَجَبْتَ لِي، وَسَأَلْتُكَ فَأَعْطَيْتَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا، مَرِيئًا، مَرِيعًا مُطْبِقًا، عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ رَائِثٍ، نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ "، فَمَا كَانَ عَشِيٌّ حَتَّى أُلْبِسَتِ السَّمَاءُ السَّحَابَ وَأَمْطَرَتْ، فَمَا أَتَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ إِلَّا خَبَّرَ بِالْمَطَرِ، قُلْنَا لَهُ: فَمَا يَخْطِرُ ؟ قَالَ: يَهْدِرُ
Translation
✧ O God, help me against Mudar with a year of drought. A man from Mudar came to him and said: O Prophet of God, by God, no camel of ours moves and no shepherd of ours takes provision. He repeated his words to him, but he turned away. Then he remained as long as God willed, then he called the Mudari and said: What did you say? He repeated it to him, and the Prophet ﷺ said: 'O God, I called upon You and You answered me, and I asked You and You gave me. O God, give us abundant rain, wholesome, productive, covering, swift not slow, beneficial not harmful.' No sooner was it evening than the sky was clothed with clouds and it rained. No one came from any direction without reporting rain. We said to him: What does 'yakhtir' mean? He said: It bellows.
