✧ Praying for rain

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ رَبَاحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:
كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ: ﴿وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا ﴾، ﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى ﴾
Translation
✧ He used to recite in the two rak'as of the rain prayer: 'By the sun and its morning brightness' and 'By the night when it covers.'
