✧ One Who Misses Part of the Night: When Does He Make It Up

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدٍ الْقَارِيِّ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ:
مَنْ نَامَ عَنْ حِزْبِهِ "، أَوْ قَالَ: " عَنْ جُزْئِهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَرَأَهُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ، فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَأَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ
Translation
✧ Whoever sleeps through his portion” — or he said, “through his part of the night — and recites it between the dawn prayer and the noon prayer, it is as if he recited it at night.”
