✧ The Prophet's ﷺ Night Prayer and His Witr

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ، تَقُولُ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِتِسْعِ رَكَعَاتٍ، رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ، فَلَمَّا ضَعُفَ أَوْتَرَ بِسَبْعٍ، رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform witr with nine rak'ahs, two of them while sitting. When he became weak, he performed witr with seven, two of them while sitting.
