✧ What Is Recited in Witr and How the Takbir Is Done in It

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ الْيَامِيِّ، عَنْ ذَرِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُرْهِبِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِـ ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى ﴾، وَ ﴿قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ﴾، و ﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ ﴾، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ مِنَ الْوِتْرِ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ، ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to perform witr with “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,” “Say: O disbelievers,” and “Say: He is God, the One.” When he wanted to conclude the witr, he said: “Glory be to God, the King, the Most Holy,” three times, then he raised his voice on the third.
