عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ،
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ: مَتَى تُوتِرُ ؟ " قَالَ: قَبْلَ أَنْ أَرْقُدَ قَالَ: " قَدْ أَخَذْتَ بِالْوُثْقَى " وَقَالَ لِعُمَرَ: " مَتَى تُوتِرُ ؟ " قَالَ: آخِرَ اللَّيْلِ حِينَ أَفْرُغُ مِنْ صَلَاتِي قَالَ: " فِعْلَ ذَوِي الْقُوَّةِ فَعَلْتَ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to Abu Bakr: “When do you perform witr?” He said: Before I sleep. He said: “You have taken hold of the firm handhold.” He said to Umar: “When do you perform witr?” He said: At the end of the night when I finish my prayer. He said: “You have done the deed of those endowed with strength.”
