Translation
✧ It was said to Ubada b. al-Samit, or I said to him: Abu Muhammad says that witr is obligatory. Ubada said: Abu Muhammad has lied. I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "Five prayers God has prescribed for His servants. Whoever performs them without diminishing anything from them, treating their right with contempt, it is a right upon God to admit him to Paradise. And whoever does not perform them has no covenant with God; if He wills, He forgives him, and if He wills, He punishes him."
