✧ Voluntary Prayer on an Animal

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ فِي سَفَرٍ، وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حِمَارٍ وَهُوَ مُتَوَجِّهٌ إِلَى غَيْرِ الْقِبْلَةِ، يَرْكَعُ وَيَسْجُدُ إِيمَاءً بِرَأْسِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَضَعَ وَجْهَهُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ
Translation
✧ I saw Anas b. Malik on a journey, praying on a donkey while facing away from the qiblah, bowing and prostrating by nodding his head without placing his face on anything.
