✧ Voluntary Prayer on an Animal

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:
بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِحَاجَةٍ، فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ، وَيُومِيءُ بِرَأْسِهِ إِيمَاءً عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ، السُّجُودُ أَخْفَضُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ، فَسَلَّمْتُ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ: " مَا فَعَلْتَ فِي حَاجَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ sent me on an errand. I came and found him praying toward the east, nodding his head slightly on his riding camel, with the prostration lower than the bowing. I greeted him, but he did not return my greeting. When he finished his prayer, he said: “What did you do about such-and-such errand? I was praying.”
