✧ Fasting While Traveling

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنِ الصَّائِمِ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَقَالَ: " أَمَّا الْمَفْرُوضُ فَلَا، وَأَمَّا التَّطَوُّعُ فَلَا بَأْسَ
Translation
✧ I asked Ata b. Abi Rabah about the one fasting while traveling, and he said: As for the obligatory fast, no; as for the voluntary fast, there is no harm in it.
