✧ Combining Prayers While Resident

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ:
جَمَعَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُقِيمًا غَيْرَ مُسَافِرٍ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: لِمَ تَرَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: لِئَلَّا يُحْرِجَ أُمَّتَهُ إِنْ جَمَعَ رَجُلٌ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ combined for us while resident, not traveling, between Zuhr and ‘Asr and Maghrib. A man said to Ibn ‘Umar, 'Why do you think the Prophet ﷺ did that?' He said, 'So as not to impose hardship on his community if a man combines.'
