عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْأَمَةِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: "
جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي غَيْرِ سَفَرٍ وَلَا مَطَرٍ ". قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: لِمَ تُرَاهُ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: أَرَاهُ لِلتَّوْسِعَةِ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ combined the Zuhr and ‘Asr prayers and the Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers in Madinah without traveling and without rain. He said: I said to Ibn ‘Abbas, 'Why do you think he did that?' He said, 'I think he did it to make things easier for his community.'
