عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى الْكِنْدِيِّ قَالَ:
أَقْبَلَ سُلَيْمَانُ فِي اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ رَاكِبًا - أَوْ ثَلَاثَةَ عَشَرَ - مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ قَالُوا: تَقَدَّمْ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: إِنَّا لَا نَؤُمُّكُمْ، وَلَا نَنْكِحُ نِسَاءَكُمْ، إِنَّ اللهَ هَدَانَا بِكُمْ قَالَ: فَتَقَدَّمَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَصَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سَلْمَانُ: " مَا لَنَا وَلِلْمُرَبَّعَةِ، إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِينَا نِصْفُ الْمُرَبَّعَةِ، وَنَحْنُ إِلَى الرُّخْصَةِ أَحْوَجُ
Translation
✧ Salman came forward with twelve riders - or thirteen - from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When the prayer became due, they said, "Lead us, O Abu Abd Allah." He said, "We will not lead you in prayer, and we will not marry your women. Allah has guided us through you." So a man from the people came forward and prayed four rak'ahs. When he had said the salutation, Salman said, "What do we have to do with the fourfold prayer? Half of the fourfold would have sufficed us, and we are more in need of the concession."
