✧ How should the night and day prayer be, and how was the prayer before the prayer of fear

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:
صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ صَلَاةُ الْخَوْفِ قَالَ: فَتَلَهَّفَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ أَنْ لَا يَكُونُوا حَمَلُوا عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: فَإِنَّ لَهُمْ صَلَاةً قَبْلَ مَغْرِبَانِ الشَّمْسِ هِيَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا: لَوْ صَلَّوْا بَعْدُ لَحَمَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ، فَأَرْصَدُوا ذَلِكَ، فَنَزَلَتْ صَلَاةُ الْخَوْفِ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ بِصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ prayed the Zuhr prayer with his companions before the prayer of fear was revealed. He said: The polytheists regretted that they had not attacked him. He said: A man said: They have a prayer before sunset that is dearer to them than their own selves. They said: If they were to pray later, we would attack them. So they lay in wait for that. Then the prayer of fear was revealed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in the prayer of fear for the Asr prayer.
