عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ: دَعَا الْمَرْءُ فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ يَسْتَغْفِرُ رَبَّهُ وَيَسْأَلُهُ قَالَ: " مَا أُحِبُّهُ "، قُلْتُ: أَيَقْطَعُ ذَلِكَ صَلَاتَهُ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، قُلْتُ: أَيَسْجُدُ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، قُلْتُ: أَفَتَدْعُو أَنْتَ الْمَرَّةَ فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُسَلِّمَ مِنَ التَّشَهُّدِ الْآخِرِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ " قَالَ: إِنِّي لَتَأْخُذُنِي الْمَرَّةَ الرَّغْبَةُ فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ فَأَسْتَغْفِرُ وَأَسْأَلُ، بِذَلِكَ قَلِيلٌ، قَالَ: وَلَا سَوَاءٌ، الدُّعَاءُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَغَرَضِهَا، أَشَدُّ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ لِلْآخِرَةِ وَالِاسْتِغْفَارِ
Translation
✧ I said: A man supplicates in the obligatory prayer, seeking forgiveness from his Lord and asking Him. He said: "I do not like it." I said: Does that sever his prayer? He said: "No." I said: Should he perform the two prostrations of forgetfulness? He said: "No." I said: Do you ever supplicate in the obligatory prayer before you greet from the final tashahhud? He said: "Yes." He said: Sometimes desire takes hold of me in the obligatory prayer, so I seek forgiveness and ask, but only a little. He said: It is not the same—supplication for worldly matters and its desires is more severe than supplication for the Hereafter and seeking forgiveness.
