عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هَارُونَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَالَ: فَذَهَبْتُ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلْتُهَا، فَقَالَتْ: صَدَقَ، فَقُلْتُ: فَأَشْهَدُ لَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ، وَلَا بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ، فَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُ مَا أُمِرَ، وَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُ مَا أُمِرْنَا
Translation
✧ I saw Ibn al-Zubayr praying two rakʿahs after al-ʿAṣr, and I said: 'What is this?' He said: 'ʿĀʾishah informed me that the Messenger of God ﷺ used to pray two rakʿahs after al-ʿAṣr.' He said: 'So I went to ʿĀʾishah and asked her, and she said: 'He spoke the truth.' I said: 'I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'There is no prayer after al-ʿAṣr until the sun sets, and none after al-Fajr until the sun rises.' So the Messenger of God ﷺ does what he was commanded, and we do what we were commanded.'
