✧ The time when prayer is disliked

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ:

لَا تَتَحَرَّوْا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ، وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنَاهُ مَعَ طُلُوعِهَا، وَيَغْرُبَانِ مَعَ غُرُوبِهَا " قَالَ: وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَضْرِبُ عَلَيْهِمَا الرِّجَالَ

Translation

✧ Do not deliberately seek sunrise or sunset, for a devil's two horns rise with its rising and set with its setting." He said: "'Umar used to strike men for these two."
