✧ A man prays in his house then catches the congregation

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مِحْجَنٍ الدِّئَلِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
صَلَّيْتُ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ فِي بَيْتِي، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَجَلَسْتُ عِنْدَهُ، فَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، فَصَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَلَمْ أُصَلِّ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ: أَلَسْتَ بِمُسْلِمٍ ؟ " قُلْتُ: بَلَى، قَالَ: " فَمَا لَكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ ؟ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ فِي بَيْتِي، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلِّ، وَلَوْ كُنْتَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ
Translation
✧ I prayed Zuhr and Asr in my house, then I came to the Prophet ﷺ and sat with him. The prayer was called, and the Prophet ﷺ prayed while I did not pray. When he finished, he said: "Are you not a Muslim?" I said: "Yes." He said: "What is wrong with you that you did not pray?" I said: "I prayed in my house." The Prophet ﷺ said: "When the prayer is called, pray, even if you have already prayed."
