✧ A person should not offer voluntary prayers where he prays the obligatory prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ:
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَتَطَوَّعُ فِي مَكَانِهِ قَالَ: " وَكَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى الْمَكْتُوبَةَ سَبَّحَ مَكَانَهُ.
Translation
✧ He used to lead them in prayer, then offer voluntary prayers in his place. He said: 'When he prayed the obligatory prayer, he would glorify Allah in his place.'
