عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:
رَأَى سُلَيْمَانُ حُذَيْفَةَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ عَلَى دُكَّانٍ مِنْ جِصٍّ، فَقَالَ: تَأَخَّرْ، فَإِنَّمَا أَنْتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ، فَلَا تَرْفَعْ نَفْسَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ "، فَقَالَ: " صَدَقْتَ
Translation
✧ Sulayman saw Hudhayfah leading them in prayer on a bench of plaster, so he said: "Step back, for you are only a man of the people, so do not elevate yourself above them." He said: "You have spoken the truth."
