عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
نِمْتُ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ ابْنَةَ الْحَارِثِ، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَأَتَى الْحَاجَةَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ نَامَ " قَالَ: " ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَأَتَى الْقِرْبَةَ فَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءًا بَيْنَ وُضُوءَيْنِ، لَمْ يُكْثِرْ وَقَدْ أَبْلَغَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى " قَالَ: " وَتَمَطَّيْتُ كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ يَرَى أَتَّقِيهِ - يَعْنِي أُرَاقِبُهُ - ثُمَّ قُمْتُ فَفَعَلْتُ كَمَا فَعَلَ، فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَأَخَذَ يُمَائِلُ أُذُنِي حَتَّى أَدَارَنِي، فَكُنْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي " قَالَ: " فَتَتَامَّتْ صَلَاتُهُ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، مِنْهَا رَكْعَتَا الْفَجْرِ، ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ فَنَامَ حَتَّى نَفَخَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِلَالٌ فَآذَنَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ، فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
Translation
✧ I slept at my maternal aunt Maymunah bt. al-Harith's, and the Prophet ﷺ got up during the night, went to relieve himself, then came and washed his face and hands, then he slept.' He said: 'Then he got up to pray during the night, went to the water-skin, and performed a moderate ablution between two ablutions; he did not use much water, yet he did it thoroughly. Then he stood and prayed.' He said: 'I stretched, disliking that he should see me watching him, then I got up and did as he had done. I stood on his left, so he took hold of my ear and tilted me until he turned me around, so that I was on his right side while he was praying.' He said: 'His prayer comprised thirteen rak'ahs in total, including the two rak'ahs of dawn. Then he lay down and slept until he snored. Then Bilal came and called him to prayer, so he got up and prayed without performing ablution again.'
