✧ The man who prays a prayer without completing it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: مَا الَّذِي إِذَا بَلَغَهُ الْإِنْسَانُ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ إِتْمَامًا لَا يُجْزِيهِ دُونَهُ ؟ قَالَ: الْوُضُوءُ لَا يَكْفِي مِنْهُ إِلَّا الْإِسْبَاغُ، وَمِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ أُمُّ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَكْفِي إِذَا انْتَهَى إِلَيْهَا ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ
Translation
✧ I said to 'Ata': What is it that, if a person reaches it in prayer as completion, nothing less will suffice him? He said: Ablution, nothing suffices from it except thorough washing, and from recitation, the Mother of the Qur'an. He said: I said: Does it suffice if he ends at it? He said: "Yes."
