✧ The man who prays a prayer without completing it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:

قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنِّي بَعْدَمَا فَرَغْتُ مِنْ صَلَاتِي لَمْ أَرْضَ كَمَالَهَا، أَعُودُ لَهَا ؟ قَالَ: " بَلَى، هَا اللهِ إِذًا فَعُدْ لَهَا، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ قَدْ فَاتَتِ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللهِ، فَإِنِّي أَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَرُدَّ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ

Translation

✧ I said to 'Ata': What do you think if, after I finish my prayer, I am not satisfied with its completeness, should I repeat it? He said: "Yes, by Allah, then repeat it, for if it fell short of seeking the face of Allah, I hope Allah will not reject it from you."
