عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُطَوِّلَ الْإِمَامُ الْأُولَى مِنْ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ حَتَّى يَكْثُرَ النَّاسُ قَالَ: " فَإِذَا صَلَّيْتُ لِنَفْسِي فَإِنِّي أَحْرِصُ عَلَى أَنْ أَجْعَلَ الْأُولَيَيْنِ وَالْأُخْرَيَيْنِ سَوَاءً، إِنَّمَا يُفَضَّلُ الْأُولَيَانِ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ لِيَثُوبَ النَّاسُ
Translation
✧ I like the imam to lengthen the first rak'ah of every prayer so that people may gather. He said: "When I pray for myself, I am keen to make the first two and the last two equal. The first two are only favored in congregation so that people may come."
