✧ Forgetfulness in prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:
إِذَا كُنْتَ لَا تَدْرِي أَرْبَعًا صَلَّيْتَ أَمْ ثَلَاثًا فَتَوَخَّ الصَّوَابَ، ثُمَّ قُمْ فَارْكَعْ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ اسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُعَذِّبُ عَلَى الزِّيَادَةِ
Translation
✧ When you do not know whether you have prayed four or three, aim for what is correct, then stand and bow a rak'ah, then prostrate two prostrations. Allah does not punish for addition.
