✧ A man finding the people sitting

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ
فِي الرَّجُلِ يَأْتِي وَقَدْ سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ وَهُوَ يَدْعُو، أَيَسْتَفْتِحُ ؟ قَالَ: " يَجْلِسُ مَا كَانَ الْإِمَامُ جَالِسًا ".
Translation
✧ Concerning a man who arrives after the imam has already said the salam (and he is still supplicating), should he begin with the opening takbir? He said: "He sits as long as the imam remains seated."
