Show the chain

Translation

✧ If you find the imam and the people sitting in the final part of the prayer, say the takbir while standing, then sit and say the takbir when you sit. That makes two takbirs: the first while you are standing is for the opening of the prayer, and the other when you sit is as if for the prostration. Then do not speak, for the prayer has become obligatory upon you, and you have begun it. However, do not count your sitting with them, and say what they say while you are sitting with them."
