✧ Movement during the prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُقِلَّ التَّحَرُّكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَأَنْ يَعْتَدِلَ قَائِمًا عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ إِنْسَانًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ ذَلِكَ، فَأَمَّا الطُّولُ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ فَلَا بُدَّ لَهُ مِنَ التَّوَرُّكِ عَلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً، وَعَلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً
Translation
✧ Indeed I prefer that one minimize movement in prayer, and that he stand upright on his feet, unless he is an elderly person who cannot do that. As for long standing, one must lean on one hip at times and on the other at times.
