✧ A man sitting in his place after the prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ: أَبَلَغَكَ عَمَّنْ مَضَى فِي الْجُلُوسِ بَعْدَ التَّسْلِيمِ شَيْءٌ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا " قُلْتُ: فَرَأَيْتُكَ تَجْلِسُ قَالَ: " سُبْحَانَ اللهِ أَذْكُرُ اللهَ " قُلْتُ: أَفَلَا تَفْرُغُ مِنْ حَاجَتِكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُسَلِّمَ، فَإِذَا سَلَّمْتَ لَمْ يَكُنْ إِلَّا الْقِيَامُ ؟ قَالَ: " بَلْ أُسَلِّمُ فَأَسْتَرِيحُ، ثُمَّ أَفْرُغُ لِتَهْلِيلِ اللهِ، وَتَسْبِيحِهِ، وَحَمْدِهِ، وَذِكْرِهِ
Translation
✧ I said: Has anything reached you from those who came before regarding sitting after the taslim? He said: "No." I said: I saw you sitting. He said: "Glory be to Allah, I remember Allah." I said: Could you not finish your need before you say the taslim, so that when you have said it, there is nothing but standing? He said: "Rather, I say the taslim and rest, then I devote myself to declaring Allah's oneness, glorifying Him, praising Him, and remembering Him."
