✧ Prayer upon the Prophet ﷺ

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ عَلِمْنَا كَيْفَ نُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ، فَكَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ: " قُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Translation
✧ I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when a man came and said: 'We know how to greet you with salam, but how do we send blessings upon you?' He said: 'Say: O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.'
