✧ What One Misses of the Tashahhud

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَفُوتُهُ رَكْعَةٌ، فَجَلَسَ فِي وِتْرٍ وَالْإِمَامُ فِي شَفْعٍ، فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ قَامَ فَأَوْفَى مَا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ
Translation
✧ I saw Ibn Umar miss a rak'ah, so he sat in a witr while the imam was in a shaf'. When the imam said the salam, he stood and completed what remained upon him, then prostrated the two prostrations of forgetfulness.
