✧ Squatting (Iq'a) in the Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا يَقُولُ:
قُلْنَا لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الْإِقْعَاءِ عَلَى الْقَدَمَيْنِ ؟ قَالَ: " هِيَ السُّنَّةُ، فَقُلْنَا: إِنَّا لَنَرَاهُ جَفَاءً بِالرَّجُلِ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: " بَلْ هِيَ سُنَّةُ نَبِيِّكَ ﷺ
Translation
✧ We said to Ibn Abbas about squatting on the two feet. He said: 'It is the sunnah.' We said: 'We consider it harsh for a man.' Ibn Abbas said: 'Rather, it is the sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ.'
