✧ A Lizard Dying in Fat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ،
أَنَّ وَزَغًا وَقَعَ فِي سَمْنٍ لِآلِ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ فَلَتُّوا بِهِ سَوِيقًا، ثُمَّ أَخْبَرُوهُ فَقَالَ: بِيعُوهُ مِمَّنْ يَسْتَحِلُّهُ، ثُمَّ أَعْلِمُوهُ
Translation
✧ A gecko fell into some butter belonging to the family of Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī, and they mixed sawīq with it. Then they informed him, and he said: Sell it to someone who considers it lawful, then inform him.
