عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: ﴿رَبِّ بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِلْمُجْرِمِينَ ﴾فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ لِي: مَا صَلَّيْتُ صَلَاةً قَطُّ إِلَّا رَجَوْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ كَفَّارَةً لِمَا قَبْلَهَا
Translation
✧ I prayed beside Ibn ʿUmar and heard him say: 'My Lord, because of what You have bestowed upon me, I will never be a supporter of the criminals.' When he finished his prayer, he said to me: 'I have never prayed a prayer except that I hoped it would be an expiation for what preceded it.'
