عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أُكَيْمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى صَلَاةً جَهَرَ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بَعْدَمَا سَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: " هَلْ قَرَأَ مِنْكُمْ مَعِي أَحَدٌ آنِفًا ؟ " قَالُوا: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: " إِنِّي أَقُولُ مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ " فَانْتَهَى النَّاسُ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِيمَا يَجْهَرُ بِهِ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ حِينَ سَمِعُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed a prayer in which he recited aloud, then after he had said the salam he turned to the people and said to them: “Did any of you recite with me just now?” They said, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “I say: why am I being contended with in the Quran?” So the people refrained from reciting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in what he recited aloud when they heard that from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
