عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ جَوَّابٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ،
أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ: أَقْرَأُ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ: وَإِنْ قَرَأْتَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، وَإِنْ قَرَأْتُ
Translation
✧ He said to ʿUmar: Should I recite behind the imam? He said: Yes. I said: Even if you recite, O Commander of the Believers? He said: Yes, even if I recite.
