عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ، فَسَأَلْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ: لَا تَقْرَأْ إِلَّا أَنْ يَهِمَ الْإِمَامُ " وَسَأَلْتُ مُجَاهِدًا فَقَالَ: " قَدْ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقْرَأُ
Translation
✧ I heard ʿUbayd Allāh b. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿUtbah reciting in the zuhr and ʿasr prayers along with the imam. I asked Ibrāhīm, and he said: Do not recite unless the imam falters. And I asked Mujāhid, and he said: I heard ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAmr reciting.
