عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، أَنَّ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ نُسَيٍّ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْقَيْسَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ يَقُولُ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الصُّنَابِحِيُّ
أَنَّهُ صَلَّى وَرَاءَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ الْمَغْرِبَ فَقَرَأَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ مِنْ قِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ قَالَ: فَدَنَوْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى إِنَّ ثِيَابِي لَتَكَادُ أَنْ تَمَسَّ ثِيَابَهُ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ قَرَأَ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ، وَبِهَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: ﴿رَبَّنَا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا ﴾، حَتَّى الْوَهَّابُ.
Translation
✧ He prayed behind Abu Bakr al-Siddiq the Maghrib prayer, and in the first two rak'ahs he recited the Mother of the Quran and two suras from the short ones of the mufassal. Then he stood for the third rak'ah. He said: I drew near to him until my clothes almost touched his clothes, and I heard him reciting the Mother of the Quran and this verse: Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, up to al-Wahhab.
