عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ:
أَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانُوا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ انْقِضَاءَ السُّورَةِ حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، فَإِذَا نَزَلَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ عَلِمُوا أَنْ قَدْ نَزَلَتِ السُّورَةُ، وَانْقَضَتِ الْأُخْرَى
Translation
✧ The believers in the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ did not know the end of a surah until 'Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim' came down. When 'Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim' came down, they knew that a surah had come down and the previous one had ended.
